Every scored job in JobIntel carries three badges: Trust, Match and Ready. Start with Trust. It shows how legitimate a posting looks, on a scale of 0 to 100.

Scroll down to the Credibility Score card to see where the number comes from. It adds up six signals: the posting's age, salary transparency, how credible the source is, whether the company checks out, the quality of the description, and how many boards the job is on. Each one shows its points and a short reason. This sample posting is 75 days old, on one board, with a vague description, and that is what pulls its score down.

Below the job's header, click What do these scores mean? to read it in words. From 75 up, a posting reads High. From 50, Moderate. From 30, Low. Below 30, the job is marked Suspicious, with a red label next to the company name, on its card and on its page.

A score helps you decide where to spend your time. A low Trust score is a reason to look closer, not proof the job is fake. Before you spend an evening on the application, check that the job is on the company's own careers page.

Open a job you are thinking about, and read its six signals before you apply. Next, learn to read its Match score.
