Your Match score shows how well your skills line up with what a job asks for. It is the share of the job's required skills that are on your profile.
The Skill Breakdown card splits the job's skills in two. Matched Skills are the ones on your profile. Skills to Build are the ones you are missing. In this sample, one gap: Supply Chain Management. A required gap is highlighted, and a preferred one is shown in gray.
The badge puts the number in words: Great from 80 percent, Strong from 60, Fair from 40, and Low below that. Only required skills count toward it. When a posting lists fewer than three required skills, the badge shows a count instead, such as 1 of 2, limited data, because a percentage would look more certain than it is.
A low match is not a no. It is a list. If you have a skill the job wants but your profile does not show it, add it on your Skills page, and your scores catch up. If the same skill keeps showing up under Skills to Build, that is the one to learn first.
Open a job you like and read its Skill Breakdown. Next, learn to read the Ready score, the number that weighs everything together.
