Your profile is the foundation of everything JobIntel does for you. The more complete it is, the better your job matches and recommendations will be. Let's walk through it.

From your dashboard, click on Settings in the sidebar. You'll land on the Profile tab, which shows your Personal Information form. This is where you tell JobIntel who you are and what you're looking for.

Start by filling in your first and last name. Then set your Job Title - your professional headline, like "Senior Product Manager." Choose Your Field, the professional domain that tells JobIntel which skills and roles to prioritize for you. Set your Experience Level so the seniority of the jobs you see is calibrated to where you are in your career. And add a few Target Job Titles to focus your feed on the roles you actually want.

The Preferences tab is where you fine-tune the rest of your setup. Choose your theme - light, dark, or automatic - and adjust your Readiness Score Weights, which control how much each factor, like skill match, freshness, and credibility, counts toward a job's Ready score. Your location, salary, and preferred work type now live under Auto Search, where they shape every job search you run.

Once you've filled everything in, click Save Profile at the bottom of the form. You'll see a confirmation that your changes were saved, and they'll still be there when you come back. A complete profile means JobIntel can match you more accurately - roles that fit your seniority, location, salary range, and career goals will rank higher in your feed.

Here's why this matters. JobIntel doesn't just show you every job it finds. It ranks your feed based on how well each listing matches your profile. Your location narrows the geography. Your experience level filters out roles that are too junior or too senior. Your salary range highlights opportunities within your target compensation. The more JobIntel knows about you, the less noise you have to sort through.

Your profile is set. Next, we'll add your skills - which is where the real matching power comes in.
