Before JobIntel can match you to the right jobs, it needs to know one thing: what field you want to work in. This is the very first step, and it shapes everything that follows. Let's set it.

Your professional domain is the first thing the setup asks when you start your free trial. You can change it later on this screen, or in Settings on the Profile tab. It's worth getting right, because it tunes the skills and the jobs you see across the whole app.

The question on screen is simple: "What best describes your career field?" Notice the guidance underneath. Pick the field you want to work in, not necessarily where you are right now. If you're a nurse moving into health-tech, or a new graduate aiming for software, choose where you're headed. JobIntel will prioritize skills and opportunities for that direction.

You'll see a full set of choices now: twelve career fields in all, from IT & Software Development to Legal, covering everything from healthcare, education, and the trades to finance, sales, engineering, manufacturing, and administrative work. General / Other is still there for anything that doesn't fit elsewhere. Pick the one that fits your goal best.

Click the card that matches your field. It highlights with a checkmark so you know it's selected. You can only pick one, so if you change your mind, just click a different card. This single choice tells JobIntel which skill categories to emphasize when it scores your résumé and ranks your job feed.

Once you've made your choice, click Continue to save it and head to your dashboard. Not sure yet? You can choose "Skip for now." JobIntel will set you to the General domain so you're never blocked, and you can pick a specific field later. But the more specific you are, the sharper your matches will be.

Your domain is the lens JobIntel sees you through. It decides which skills count most, how your readiness and match scores are calculated, and which jobs rise to the top of your feed. And if your goals change, you can update it anytime from Settings.

Your field is set. Next, let's build out your profile so JobIntel can start matching you to the right roles.
