Privacy is at the heart of JobIntel coaching. Your clients trust you with their job search data. Let's go through how that trust is built into the system - about three minutes.
Open a client's dashboard view from the Clients tab. You see their job listings, their applications, their skills, their résumé sections, and their match scores. All read-only. You can look, you can read, but you cannot edit. You cannot add jobs for them. You cannot change their data. Coaching here is observation and conversation, not data entry.
Some things are off-limits no matter what. Billing information. Support tickets. Security settings. And any notes a client has marked as personal. These are hard limits - no override exists, not even for Enterprise. If a client wants to share something in those categories, they'll tell you.
From your client's perspective, their Settings page has a Coaching card with the controls. They can pause visibility entirely with one toggle. When paused, you see their name with a Hidden badge and none of their data. They can also pick which sections to share, with a toggle for each - Skills, Applications, and Resume. Skills only. Skills plus applications. Hide their résumé. Any combination they like. Each toggle shows them exactly what's visible to you right now.
When a client adds a note to a job application, they can mark it personal. Personal notes stay private to them - you'll never see those, regardless of every other privacy setting. This is where they keep things like salary expectations, deal-breakers, or interview reflections they're not ready to share.
Clients can also fully disconnect at any time. They get a confirmation dialog explaining what happens. After they disconnect, their relationship moves to Ended in your Clients tab. No job search data is deleted on either side: they keep their own jobs, applications and résumé, and you keep your record of the relationship. The resources you shared with them are no longer available to them.
The best coaches are openly transparent about what they can see. When a new client joins, walk them through these privacy controls in your first session. It actually builds more trust, not less. And if a client pauses visibility on you mid-engagement, don't take it personally. Sometimes people just need a quiet week.
Respect the controls. Build the trust. Great coaching happens when clients feel safe sharing. You're ready to coach on JobIntel.
