3.9.0 is about JobIntel being straight with you — showing your own settings wherever you sign in, saying so when results aren't the ones you just asked for, and quietly recovering jobs a source had been dropping.

Your settings follow your account

• Language is set on your account, not on your browser. Choose English, German, Spanish or French once and it follows you — a different computer, a private window, a new phone. Previously the choice lived only in the browser you made it in, so signing in somewhere else put you back to English.
• Notification controls. Settings → Preferences now lets you choose which notifications you get: product update emails, plus phone alerts for when a search finishes scoring your matches and for new high-match jobs in your digest. Turning an alert off stops it on all your devices.

Email on your terms

Alongside the notification controls above, this release rebuilds how JobIntel treats your inbox:

• Nothing recurring unless you ask. The email summary digest is now off by default — it runs only if you turn it on, at the frequency you pick.
• One-click unsubscribe, honoured by your mail app. Every recurring email now carries the one-click unsubscribe standard, so Gmail and Yahoo show their own Unsubscribe button right next to the sender name — one tap and it's done.
• Unsubscribe without signing in. The footer of every recurring email links to an unsubscribe page that works even when you're logged out, plus a direct link to your notification preferences.
• We stop before you have to. If you stop engaging with JobIntel emails, we stop sending them — you shouldn't have to unsubscribe from mail you've clearly stopped wanting.

Search that tells you what it's doing

• You'll know when you're seeing another search's results. If a search is already running when you press Search Now, JobIntel joins that run instead of starting a second one — that has always been true, and it keeps things fast. What's new is that it now says so. If the running search was started from criteria you have since edited, the results are answering the older question, and the banner tells you plainly rather than letting you read them as an answer to the new one.
• Fewer jobs quietly lost. Searching a neighbourhood or district — "Houston Energy Corridor", "East Toronto (The Danforth East)", "Brno-Staré Brno" — combined with a distance radius could make one of our largest job sources reject the whole request, returning nothing from it at all. Other sources kept the results page looking populated, so there was no sign anything was missing. JobIntel now retries without the radius instead of losing the source, so those searches get their jobs back.

Readability and accessibility

• Match score colours now meet the AA contrast standard everywhere they appear — in the app, on the browser extension's job badges, and on your dashboard — so scores stay legible on every background and for low-vision users.
• Consistent scores between the extension and the app. The browser extension now shows the score band the server calculated rather than working one out for itself, so a job can no longer look like a stronger match on a job board than it does in JobIntel.
• Fixed a version link in the footer that looked clickable but went nowhere.

Under the hood

A large share of this release is groundwork you won't see yet: a single typed API contract that every JobIntel client shares, per-device sign-in sessions, notification delivery, and universal links — the foundations for the JobIntel mobile app. Alongside that we rebuilt how Search Now is queued so a long search can't tie up capacity other work needs, and we closed several gaps in our own testing where a failure could go unreported.
