Version 3.16.0
Interviews that count their questions, honest match scores, and a clearer search
3.16.0 fixes things that were not telling you the truth: how many questions an interview would ask, what a match score meant, where a job's pay came from. It adds no new features.
Interview practice
- Your interview asks exactly the number of questions you chose. Every time the interviewer speaks to you counts, whether it is a new question, a follow-up, the same question asked another way, or a request to say more. A short closing remark ends the session and is not counted.
- You can see where you are. Above the answer box, "Turn 3 of 5" shows how far along the interview is.
- A long German interview keeps its feedback. A 12 or 15 question interview in German could end with feedback missing from some of your answers. Now every answer has its feedback.
- One unusual part of a summary no longer hides the rest. If one part of your summary could not be read, the other parts still show.
- The summary only judges what the interview asked.
Your job feed and scores
- Sorting by Match Score is in a sensible order. Jobs with a match percentage come first, highest first. Then come jobs with limited skill data, then jobs not scored yet. A note under the sort says so.
- No 0% before you add skills. If you have not added any skills, jobs now show as not scored, instead of a row of 0% scores, and a notice at the top of your feed says "Your jobs are not scored until you add skills to your profile." with an "Add skills" link. Once you add a skill, you get real scores.
- Salary is compared in the right currency. Your salary range is read in the currency of where you live. A job paid in another currency is no longer scored against it, so pounds are never compared with euros or dollars.
- Trends by skill and the average salary use one currency. Trends show salaries in the currency most of your jobs are paid in and say which one it is. Jobs in other currencies are left out and counted, never averaged in.
- Stop tracking a job from the feed. Click the filled bookmark on a card, or Tracked on the job page. A job still at Interested with no notes is untracked at once. If it has moved further or has notes, you are asked first, because untracking deletes that application and its history.
- Résumé suggestions load when you open a job. The first time you open a job, the Resume Suggestions card shows a spinner for a few seconds and then the suggestions. Opening it again is instant.
Auto Search and Find
- Better place matching in Brazil. A 25 km search around São Paulo or Brasília now includes jobs in the places around the city, and jobs written as "City - UF" are placed correctly.
- Find works in Cyprus. Searching in Cyprus now also looks for jobs written in Greek.
- Search settings keep your edits. A search query or location you changed while a search was running could be put back to its old value when the search finished. It now stays as you left it.
- Search History says why a board was skipped. A board that was not searched now reads "Not searched" with the reason, in your language, instead of looking like a search that found nothing.
- Jobs from Adzuna carry a "Jobs by Adzuna" line on the card and on the job page, linking to Adzuna.
- Estimated pay is no longer shown as a stated salary. When a job board only estimates a salary, the job now shows no salary, and the estimate no longer counts toward your Ready score.
- Each job ad is listed once in Source Boards. The same ad could appear many times under slightly different links.
- More jobs are found when a board is slow. A board that takes a long time to answer is given more time and one more try before it is reported as not answering.
- Garbled characters are fixed in the title, company and place of some jobs.
Your account and emails
- Download my data works after your access ends. The link in the access-ended email, and in the "Data Export Is Ready" email, downloads your data without signing in, and keeps working for 30 days.
- System emails look better. Trial ending, welcome back, sign-in links, email change notices, discount notices and other emails now arrive in the full JobIntel design.
For career coaches
- Reading for coaches. The For Coaches page now links to the articles written for coaches.
Help
- The User Guide and FAQ cover all of this, in every language we support.
