Version 3.15.1
Interview summaries that arrive by themselves, and a client list you put in order
3.15.1 is a fix release. Most of it is about waiting: for an interview to start, for its summary, for new jobs to be scored. The rest makes a few things say what is really happening.
Interview practice
- Starting an interview takes you straight to the first question. While it is being prepared, a progress bar says "Preparing your interview: reading the job and writing your questions. This usually takes 10 to 20 seconds."
- Ending an interview no longer keeps you waiting. When you end an interview, or answer the last question, you see your summary page at once. It says "Writing your summary..." and the summary appears by itself, usually within one or two minutes. If it can't be written, you can try again.
- Long interviews are summarized in full. The patterns in your summary now include what you said after your tenth answer.
- "Questions not asked" lists only questions you weren't asked. A question you had answered could appear in that list.
- An answer without feedback says so. Instead of an empty space, the summary tells you which answer has no feedback.
- Practicing for a job from your Jobs says what it uses. The setup now shows that the job posting's description is used, and you can add your own notes, which are used alongside it.
- A follow-up question no longer ends your interview early. Replying to a follow-up could sometimes end the session after your very first answer. Now it never does, and you continue through every question you chose.
- A long interview, especially in German, now starts. Building a 12- or 15-question plan in German could fail with "We could not build your interview plan just now." It now starts.
- A failed start no longer leaves its error behind. If starting an interview failed, the message used to keep showing on every step you visited afterward, and could appear twice on the review step. Now it clears as soon as you move, and shows once.
Your job feed and scores
- Opening a job no longer changes its Trust Score. A job marked Suspicious in your feed could lose the label once you opened it. Opening a job now changes nothing about it.
- For older jobs, the score breakdown says when its parts are recalculated. For a job scored before this release, the parts of its Trust Score are worked out again when you look. When they add up to a different total, the card says "These parts are recalculated today; the score was set when this job was first scored."
- New jobs from a search are scored sooner. A few jobs that missed the first round of scoring could show "Matching..." for about 17 minutes. They are now scored straight away.
- Changing your career field can bring your skills with it. When you change your career field, we ask whether to move your skills to the new field. Nothing moves unless you say yes. If your skills are already filed under a field you left, the note in your feed moves them in one click.
- The Skills page no longer says you have no skills while it loads. It says "Loading your skills..." until they arrive, and if they can't be loaded, it says so instead of showing an empty list.
Applications
- An application whose job has left your feed says so. Instead of a link to a page that no longer exists, the application now says "No longer in your feed".
Auto Search
- The Search Locations hint matches your country. It mentions ZIP codes in the United States, postal codes where they exist, and only cities where there are none, in every app language.
- One of our job sources now stays in its own countries. A source covering only Germany, Austria and Switzerland had been returning jobs from outside those countries too. It now keeps to the area it covers; a remote job from it still follows your Include remote work setting.
Your plan and emails
- Starting your free trial sends a proper welcome. The email confirming your free trial now arrives in the full JobIntel design.
- Cancelling now sends a confirmation. If you cancel your free trial or your subscription, you get an email with the date your access ends. A cancelled free trial is never charged, and nothing in your account is deleted.
Help
- The table of contents in Help takes you to the section. Its links didn't go anywhere before.
- The User Guide explains when automatic searches pause. It now says when they stop running and how a subscription keeps them going.
For career coaches
- Put your whole client list in the order you want. Every client now has a row on the Coach Overview, including clients who have been quiet lately. Drag a client by the handle beside their name, with a mouse, a finger or the keyboard. Your order is saved as soon as you drop the client. Clients you had pinned keep their place at the top, and the pin is gone.
- Clients with similar names are told apart. If two of your clients would both appear as "Sam K.", their full names are shown.
- An order that can't be saved says so. The Overview says "Couldn't reorder your clients." and puts the list back as it was saved.
Our website
- Comparison pages ask you to try again instead of showing an error when they are briefly unavailable.
