Working with a Career Coach on JobIntel
What it means to be coached on JobIntel - accepting an invite, what your coach sees, what they share with you, and how to pause anytime.

Maybe a career coach invited you to JobIntel, or maybe you're thinking about hiring one. Either way, here's what working with a coach actually looks like inside the platform.
It starts with an email from your coach. Click the link and you'll land on a JobIntel invitation page showing your coach's name and a short bio. From here, you choose to accept. If you've worked with this coach before, you'll also see the option to restore your previous shared resources or start fresh.
Once you accept, your dashboard now shows a "Resources from Your Coach" card whenever they share something with you. A small "new" badge appears next to the count when there's something fresh to look at. Resources auto-mark as read after you've had them on screen for a few seconds.
Once connected, your coach sees a read-only view of your job search. They can see the titles you're tracking, what stage your applications are in, and your recent activity. They cannot edit your data, add jobs for you, or message you through JobIntel. Your data stays yours - they're just along for the ride.
Your coach can never see your billing, your support tickets, or any notes you've marked as personal. These are hard limits - there's no override. Inside Settings, the Coaching card lets you fine-tune what they see, with a toggle for each section - Skills, Applications, and Resume. Share your skills but hide your résumé, share applications but hide skills, or anything in between.
If you ever need space, the Pause button next to Coach Visibility takes one click. Your coach immediately stops seeing your data and only sees a Hidden badge next to your name. You can resume sharing whenever you're ready. Your data is never deleted - it's just hidden. Sometimes people just need a quiet week, and that's fine.
When your coach shares something new, JobIntel sends you a quick email. You can turn that off in your notification preferences if you'd rather just see it on your dashboard. Same Settings page, Coaching card.
